Rite Aid - Week of December 18th to 24th

This will be my last post for a little while because tomorrow at 7am I will be induced in order to meet our 3rd child. Today's trip was a great note to end on. I didn't make a profit necessarily, but $0.22 for all that is shown in the picture below isn’t bad. DEALS - Week of November 20th to 26th

This has been one amazing week of deals in our household...

TARGET:
Not bad for $17.75.
I needed clothes for our upcoming addition to the family. I was able to get the 18 pieces of clothing above for $17.75 thanks to a lovely coupon I printed off of the Target website that is no longer available. It was $5 off a $20 purchase of their CIRCO line of clothing. Each piece of clothing was marked down to $1.25.

Then I needed some diapers. Target was running their buy 3 packages of diapers get a $5 Target Card. I remembered as I looked at my coupons that a few weeks ago I got 2 'Target coupons' that printed out after buying huggies that stated it could be used to get '$5 off a pack of huggies and wipes'. Since you can stack a manufacture coupon and a target coupon I was able to get the above for $8.91

Giant:

I had also noticed in the Giant circular that there was a diaper deal. You could buy $30 worth of Huggies diapers and wipes and get $10 off your next purchase. On top of the $10 off there was another deal running that I found out about thanks to Forthemommas that if you bought 3 packages of diapers you would get an additional $5 off your next purchase. After manufacture coupons and these coupons for future grocery trips the above actually cost me $7.96.

Black Friday Deals at CVS:

Thanks to savemore.com I had purchased a $10 gift card for $5. It was a huge help this week. I was able to get ALL of the above for free and GET PAID $8.46. I did 4 separate transactions in order to roll my in store credit into other orders to keep me from having to spend much cash up front. I may post the scenario tomorrow morning.

Black Friday Deals at Rite Aid:

I was able to get the above for $2.96.

20% OFF THE ENTIRE STORE

Just this week I finally reached the coveted 20% off on all retail price items at Rite Aid. Every time I go to Rite Aid now when they swipe my card I will get a 20% discount off all retail prices automatically. If the item is on sale at less than 20% off I will get 20% off instead. I have been working at this goal inch by inch all year.

In order to reach this status you have to spend $1,000 in the store. Okay...stop right there...no I did not spend $1,000 at Rite Aid in the last 10 months. I sat down and crunched the numbers using my banking software. I reached this status by only spending $200 (that's $20/month on toiletries) in the last 10 months. The $1,000 is based on buying a $1,000 WORTH of products. I bought $1,000 worth of products using $200 cash and $800 worth of coupon and rebate/refund savings. So basically in all my spending this year I have saved 80% on all my purchases (diapers, paper towels, kleenex, tooth paste, detergent, razors, etc, etc.)

I'm so thankful I sat down to take a look at the big picture of savings. It is completely worth it. Give it a try.

Rite Aid - Week of October 16th - 22nd

I haven't been in the swing of couponing for months due to expecting my 3rd child, but after seeing the Rite Aid circular this week I decided to search my coupons for deals. forthemommas.com  along with bluegrasssavers.com helped me come up with a plan of action.

My whole purpose was to get two things I needed and I would purchase anything else to help make toilet paper and detergent free. I also wanted to walk away with no UPR because of the difficulty of getting to Rite Aid each week.

Here is what I was able to do. I was able to acquire $96.89 worth of products for $21.15 out-of-pocket. Once I receive my SCR and mfg rebate I will have made a profit of $9.83.
It's worth the search for deals.
